Hi, I've read some of the postings here about people's CPU's running hot. What I would like to know at what temperature does
the life of the CPU start to degrade or shorten. At home I don't have any problems because the covers are always off
the case, it seems this also helps keep the HS and fan and other goodies from getting dusty, because I tend to think that closed
cases are dust traps. Anyway at work they just bought a brand spanking new server and the office that they keep it in is really, really hot
To make matters worse it's locked in a metal cabinet that has fans but I touched the cabinet and it feels mighty warm and I put
my hand next to the exhaust fan at the back and it feels really, really warm. The room is hot to start with I would guess at
around 90c or 31f and I've been telling them that they are going to shorten the life of the server real quick!!!
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
