I need a pair of shoes for running in my area and going to the gym. I haven't done either in over a year. I was thinking new balance. Anyone have a specific shoe they suggest? Budget is $50-100 unless you got a really good reason for me to spend more.

Yes, it really depends on your feet.

I personally love Asics. The Asic Gel Kayano is great for someone who overpronates. It is an awesome shoe and adjusts my pronation.

I like to paint the bottom of my feet with rubber cement.

Na, but you should go there and have them assess your stride so you know whether you are a pronator or not.

That's what a proper fitting would entail.
