These are the first 80.xx version drivers that have worked for me, and so far I'm pretty pleased.

A definite across the board image quality increase from the 78.05, I've played DOD-S and BF2 so far, and in BF2 the difference is the most noticeable.

Also a definite FPS increase. With 1680x1050, 4AA/ Everything on high except dynamic shadows (medium), forced trilinear mipmaps, and Supersampling TAA, I'm getting in many places 80 to even 95fps, and a low of only 60-65FPS! The low comes from when I am looking at a lot of foliage, which I assume is due to TSAA.

Now with older drivers at these settings I'd literally be hitting like 55fps, but that was before patch 1.03.

With these compared to my previous XG 78.05's I suspect its about a 5-12fps increase with a better low fps.

In DOD-S my old timedemo was corrupted so I cant compare.

Also, core usage when gaming is up from 50% to ~65%.

It's not a repost of my post, and there are other seperate posts talking about problems with them. I think it will be ok, they won't sink the forum, stop being so anal

A little consideration will help maintain the value of this forum, and all of our forums, for all of our members.

I don't think you are following with the spirit of the mod's requests. Please be a nice person. Thanks

And  to the OP, can't wait for my Venice to get here so I can plug in my PCIE 6800GT :)

Weird... although I've only played DOD S and BF2, I get better image quality (details on things not present before + more) and better framerates, AND even a little better OC on the memory.

Ironically, these are also the only 80xx drivers that HAVENT fubared my system

It's not a repost of my post,
So if everyone who wanted to talk about the 81.85 drivers started a new thread where would that lead us?

I don't think you are following with the spirit of the mod's requests.
You think the mods like duplicate threads spamming up the forum?

I dont know...HOw about an interesting place...Sometimes those driver threads get quite sidetracked about one thing and before you know it 4-5 pages....This is one persons thread about ttheir unique experience...

Go mod elsewhere..We will call you when we need you...

Repost??? Dude are you serious...maybe it was a Deja Vu thing!!!

It's unlikely that would happen because people naturally self-regulate a little better than that. If it did, (OMG call in the marines!) than the mods would take care of it. You seem more interested in running around playing forum police when its simply unnecessary.

This is one persons thread about ttheir unique experience...
Like I asked before, if all 126,000 members posted about their unique experience in a separate thread where would that leave us?

It's unlikely that would happen because people naturally self-regulate a little better than that.
This thread clearly shows us they don't. Even when a blatant repost is pointed out it turns into a flame war because the individual is still determined to post their "unique experience".

I got one better... I am going to post a "repost" in every thread...cause I am 99% sure we have talked about them SOMEWHERE and at SOMETIME!!!!
Duvie for MOD
A mod that doesn't understand the simple concept of duplicate threads and why they're bad. What a great idea.
