1) Avoid Sony VAIO at all costs.

2) Dell.com will have the best prices due to their sales, coupons, rebates and free shipping offers. Sometimes you can combine all 4, it's pretty rare but it does happen.

3) Also check out NotebookReview.com and LaptopcLogic.com

4) Last but not least wrong forum.

What kind of laptop are you looking for: ultra portable, portable power or desktop replacement gaming?

How important is size and weight to you?

What minimum specs are you looking for?

What about battery life? I :heart: my Dell Inspiron 700m's 5 hours battery life :thumbsup:

I think Sony VAIO from my experience is one of the best quality laptops out there. Its just my opinion though, please don't flame me to death
