Question Good replacement for PopFile?

So I've been using Popfile for a VERY long time now. I only use it to tag email and then I have created filters within Thunderbird to sort the email into different folders (Mustang, Computers, Aviation, Politics, and, of course, SPAM, etc. Twenty or so folders total). I still download and review every email, but things are much easier with them filtered and sorted.

The problem is Popfile hasn't been supported for some time now. Ten years to be exact. And the old TLS it used (1.0 or 1.1, not sure) is not going to be supported by my email supplier much longer. And frankly, with it not being support, it is time for a replacement.

I would like to find a replacement email sorting program and continue to use Thunderbird with it's folders and filters pretty much exactly the same (if possible). However, all I am finding with MY searches are spam filtering software that will just filter out the spam emails and won't categorize the emails for Thunderbird to sort into folders.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I was in the same situation. But when I upgraded a server, it I could never get Popfile working again 😕 Did you ever find a solution for categorizing your email?

Thanks
