Good reminder program?

I need a recommendation on a program that does reminders. I'd prefer something that starts up automatically with bootup but doesn't run in the system tray just in the background.

Or even better a webpage that sends you an e-mail reminder and no spam (yea right)

Any recommendations?

I don't know what other people use, but I either use ICQ or Outlook for reminders.

I got rid of ICQ, thats what I used to use and I hate outlook.

I use my yahoo portal calendar. You can set it up to email you reminders in advance, such as a week, a day, an hour, etc.

I've got everybody's birthdays set up, dentist appts, meetings, etc.

I also keep the next 7 days worth of events on it. Have yahoo set as my internet explorer homepage.

In addition, I use yahoo's address book, so addresses, email addys and telphone numbers are always available wherever I have internet access.

Here's a cool little freeware progy that allows you to keep a calendar on top of your desk and set up appointments and stuff.
