I want to get some portable speakers for my sister's iPod. My understanding is that the $150+ iPod-specific speakers are very overpriced. What should good portable speakers cost? Any specific ones you'd recommend? Thanks.

edit: To clarify, I'm looking forportable speakers (either iPod-specific or generic) which sound good and aren't extremely overpriced.

There's the Klipsch's I-Fi, which are not overpriced, but they go for $400. Otherwise, what do you mean by iPod speakers... ones that come with a dock, or what?

You can get them refurbished from Klipsch for $200, but they are hardly portable.

Id suggest these.

Klipsch rule! I have the Klipsch Horn series that my father bought me. 5000 bucks a pop! Love it but for your use i would think that the i-fi's would suffice

Well, the Klipsch Promedia 2.0 are about the most portable and well sounding speakers you can get... you could also get one of those purse/dock thingies...
