I've always like Norton Utilities, but if you want a free one, try jv16 Powertools. Download the older version of the software. The latest version seems to have some weird GUI issues.

It's also hosed a couple programs on me. It's become too aggressive at cleaning the registry.

Hey I've always realize that much of rig cleaners cleans out the invalid keys but that's it. They leave the same old parameters that are ages old or with nothing in them. Is there any program that does a "safe" yet thorough job of cleaning out all parameters and keys?

I haven't had any problems with the latest version. And I'd use jv16 over NU any day of the week, free or not. I've never had a problem with it, unlike norton, and its extremely comprehensive. 2 thumbs up for jv16. :)

JV16 dorks up my Audigy 2 applications and I hate to go through each deletion one by one to make sure it's not dorked up before removal.
