Good reasonably priced sunglasses?

I'm not looking to spend a ton, and I don't those $10 knock offs either. Whats a good place to get reasonably priced sunglasses, say $30-$50 with good UV protection for my gf? She is pretty small so they need to have small sizes......

I just got a pair of Oakley Gascans and they work a lot better than some Ray Bans I had (image clarity, looks, comfort). Fit my head well and look pretty damn cool. Perfect timing since summer is around the corner. They look pretty aggressive though, don't know what you're actually looking for..

I got polished black with black lenses btw.

Wow those Gascans are nice looking glasses. Which color did you get? I like the Rootbeer-Bronze ones.

I got the polished black with black gradient lens. 100% UVA, UVB and UVC protection (supposedly) ftw.
They are $90 on the website and that is how much i got them for. You could probably find them cheaper.

hmm...didn't catch the part that it was for your GF (oops). I think I'm developing that disease where you don't finish reading posts. sorry. My gf has some nice Ralph Lauren sun glasses and they were under $100.

I am a guy that is in the market for some as well, and would like to hear some ideas. I have an old pair of Ray Bans - damn those things have got to be at least ten years old, and worth every penny of the ~$120 they cost - but they are just now a bit beat up and a wee bit unfashionable.
Because of those Ray Bans I do fully appreciate the idea of paying for a quality product, but regardless of my appreciation I just don't have $100+ to blow on a pair of sunglasses at this moment (just bought a Burberry watch I need to pay off 😀 ).

LOL! I was going to joke the same thing. I guess my gf and I just like good shades. Lately we've been partial to Revo and Rudy Project.

I shall use this opportunity to say I bought my girlfriend Versace glasses. =0)

To the OP: Look at a Sunglasses Hut store.

Sunglass Hut = Overpriced. You can likely get the same thing (and more varity) cheaper elsewhere.

I like fossil glasses they are made well, you can buy direct from fossil and they cost less than $50. They have womems too but I never really looked at the styles.

I've got some Arnette Sunglasses from the Sunglass hut back in '04 when I went to hawaii, wish they were a bit more polarized..

I've got some $4 pair that I picked up at walmart. They're polarized, and everyone seems to like them on me. I'm happy. I just wished I had gotten two or three so I wouldn't have to buy any more for the next decade or so.

I bought Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses
they are perfect for me since the style is sporty
I can wear it with anything

they costed about $60 at Nordstroms

so look into some designer brands too

I'm biased to Maui Jims every since I bought myself a pair.

There are a few Maui Jims in the $100 price point and they are some of the most comfortable and better optics out there, ie light polarization, no-glare, etc, etc.

It's kind of the same thing as buying the $30 leather work boot from Walmart of the $150 pair of Redwings.

They are both boots, they are both made of leather, they both go over your feet...but spend some time in both of them and the differences are quite apparent.

Quality of optics, the quality of the polarization, ect. You really do get a much better product in the the "premium" glasses from Revo, Maui Jim, ect. Yeh a lot of them are inflated in price, but they still are a superior product to the cheapie knock offs.

If you just want sunglasses for the look or a quick save from the sun they junker are fine. But if you wear them for extended periods of time, your eyes will thank you spending $$ on a real set.
