Every morning of the summer I would have a breakfast, which helped me throughout the rest of the day. Now that school has started again, I have no time to make myself anything more complicated then cereal, and im partially lactose intolerant :( So what are some meals/drinks (such as shakes) that would give me a healthy start to the day, and wouldnt take too much time to make/eat?
edit: Also, should the food be high in protein? carbohydrates?

Pop tarts, leftover pizza, nutrigrain bars, and granola might be good for you. Fruit would work too.

I ate breakfasts of those breakfast style hot pockets and coffee (in a to-go mug) all Sr year.

"Slim Fast bars are great."

Afraid not :) The same can be said for the "cereal" or "breakfast" bars out there. They're low in fiber, full of sugar, and don't have enough protein to build a miniscule fiber of muscle :)

Slim Fast products are a joke. Ever take a look at the pre-made ready-to-drink shakes often sold in vending machines and the like? Sure they are low-fat, but that isn't the problem. They're crammed full of sugar.

Y'all want a real breakfast? Try a serving of lean chicken breast, a couple strips of turkey bacon, and a slice of whole wheat bread (real whole wheat, I might add) with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter (not skippy or jif). You'll end up with about the same amount of calories as a bowl of sugar-filled breakfast cereal or a cereal bar but you're getting far more nutritional value out of those calories. Food for thought :)
