Good quality wireless keyboard/mouse combos.

My cousing now has his computer hooked up to his HDTV and needs a good quality wireless keyboard/mouse so he can use it from his couch. The CPU sits about 15 feet or so from his couch, and the keyboard he's using now is a very cheap one and only works from about 3 feet away. He's looking for something about 40 bucks or less. I've seen some Logitech combos on pricewatch for about $23, but I need to know about range. Anyone using wireless keyboards and mouses please let me know what to get. Thanx
 
I had an IR keyboard some time ago that worked well. It had the mouse pointer built into the keyboard. Cost me something like $23.00. Was simple and effective.

I believe that would work much better than an RF keyboard unless you need to go through walls.
 
My logitech lx300 works extremely well, although I guess it's a bit out of your price range. It's about 60 bucks, but man is it worth it.
 
Yeah, HDTVMan is right, you will not really be able to find something that will work that far away for that cheap that is RF, the only thing that would work well that far away would be Bluetooth and that would significantly more expensive than you have stated for a budget. But I would imagine that the IR setup would be much cheaper, it is just a matter of finding it, since RF has become so much more popoular.
