So I decided to rip my DVD collection to my computer. I got them all done only to find out that PowerDVD nor VLC can play them correctly. I ripped them to ISO and now I have to load them with Power ISO and then load that drive....its a pain.

Is there a program that can play the ISO's? I wouldn't mind ripping them to Divx so I can play with some Android apps that support that format.

Lil help?

UPDATE: Has anyone set up streaming on VLC? This is the walkthrough I found, but I have never seen that version/GUI before.

Why not autoplay whatever virtual drive you mount the ISO's on? Certain programs (media center, boxee) will allow you to see a list of all your iso's and you can click on one and it should start playing automatically.

VLC can play from ISOs all day long. I don't have my Windows machine with me at the moment but I'm pretty sure it's simply File>Open Disk>and then you should be able to browse for the file. I'll check when I get home and have access to my Windows box again.

I never tried telling it to "display all" instead of only media file types.

Thanks!

anything? Help me figure this out. I've never seen that GUI for VLC and can't find it.

I found the VLC Remote app for my MyTouch. I'm trying to figure out how to get VLC to stream to it.

If you help me figure this one out...I'll give you 150 AT points.

Alright, ya got me! I have the VLC remote app for my iPhone and I haven't even bothered setting it up. I was going to use it to control ISOs on my desktop from my bed but figured out how to do the same thing with Windows Media Center and that uses a dedicated remote.

Let us know if you do figure it out. Is the MyTouch the new phone from HTC?

P.S. From the screen shots I saw on that webpage, it looks like whoever wrote the tutorial is just using the classic theme for Windows. Or it could be Linux, which explains why things are in a slightly different place...
