good program for slitting files....

Whats a good program to slit large (over 1gb) files and folders into 2 or 3 peices so they can be backed up on cds ? I tried winrar, but dont want to back them up in an archive of 100 :| ....

Did you try Winzip or ZipGenius? I'm not aware of any limitations for file splitting for both of these programs.
