Use a Sandy bridge pentium G630. Can software monitor the temp and fan speed? I have no idea what they are and I'm curious.

Speedfan was working well, but I came back to my computer after a few days and now it says my system is 123c and my cpu is 0c. :\ Yet if I go into charts and select temps of Core 1 and Core 2 it plainly tells me what it really is. It seems bugged and uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't fix it.

I've used most things listed at one time or another.

Just usually use HWmonitor these days.

Is there another app for controlling fan speed? Speedfan doesn't seem to be ramping the rpm up any more when the cpu gets hotter.

The motherboard's 4 pin connector should be able to control the fan from the bios. I wouldn't rely on any software for the task. What motherboard are you using?
