Good processor trade

I just traded my C433 for Poof's PII Xeon 400. 🙂 I used to run SETI on my C433 and average anywhere from 15-17 hours/WU, and Poof ran RC5 on the Xeon, getting around 1 Mkeys/sec. We decided to trade, and after the trade Poof is getting about 1.1 MKeys/sec from me on my C433, and I'm getting about 11 hours/WU on her Xeon 400. 😀😀😀 I just wanted to post another example of how well processor trading works. 🙂

Excellent trade Sukhoi! All the better for the TeAm. 🙂
I have a pentium 233 that is taking a long time for Seti, 30-50 hrs. per w/u. I wonder if it would be better suited for something else. Benchmark shows 490,456.43 key/sec @RC-5.
It runs 24/7 w/o interruption.

I'm assuming you just didn't bother to type it in, but it's actually a P233 MMX to be getting that kind of keyrate. 🙂

Phiton, you should see if any RC5 people have a PPro 180 on 24/7. I'm not positive, but I would think it would do SETI faster than your P233 MMX (especially if the PPro has 512 KB of cache), and the RC5 output of your P233 MMX would only be slightly lower than the output of the PPro 180.
