I'm not up to speed on printers and there's so damn many. I just need a good solid inkjet printer under $60-$70. (Yes, I suppose if I was clever it'd be FAR at Staples, so if you do know of one, that's even better.) It would be nice if it had cheap/reasonably priced ink and/or the ink cartridges had good life. I've always been an HP guy, but that's been more for upper end stuff and their cheaper offerings are pretty pathetic. From a quick scan, Canon looked pretty good... but I really have no idea. Thanks.

canon... even if you have to stretch your budget a little.. you'd save on the long run because it's very ink conservative and the ink is dirt cheap

At that price level, youl'll find that replacing the ink cartridges costs as much as the printer. Also, printers in that range usually use small cartridges that run out quickly.

I had an Apollo 2200 that lasted 1 1/2 years. Used HP Ink, and did an OK job. It got quite a bit of use too and I think I paid $49 back then (3 yrs ago?).

You can pick up a Canon i470D at Office Depot for $35-$40 after mail in rebate and Office Depot Coupon. Look for the thread in the Hot Deals Forum.
