Ok I don't know jack about printers, I basically need a good color inkjet model for under $250-200? Any brand besides HP (place where I'm getting it doesn't have HP). Thanks!

The best HP you can find for 200$... 🙂

I think the 960cse is in that range.

edit--- LOL, maybe I should read the posts... 😀 Epson would be my next choice, just don't get a Canon.

Since the place you are buying your printer from does not stock HP I would recomend a good Epson. I forget the latest Epson model #'s but any Epson Stylus at around $200 should be a first rate printer for both text and graphics.

Found this at Newegg.

EPSON 785EPX C408011 STYLUS PHOTO

$217

That is a very nice printer.

I used to sell Xerox..so I know a little about printers, hehe. Personally, and from I have seen I don't like Canon. I haven't kept on their newest but high ink costs and subpar printing always seemed the norm for the early S series. Lexmark has good print quality but even higher ink costs!! I like the Epson's a lot, but unless you are going to print photos I would go for the regular Stylus because cost of ink is cheaper...They look real nice, I have been surprised on waht they can do...I would go for one the higher end models, you can't go wrong.

Epson is good, but you have to print all the time to keep them from clogging. Watch out for the ones that use the "smart cartridge" which has a chip in it. Keeps you from using the cheap 3rd party replacements and possibly even refilling. Also don't get the Epson models that have Photo in the name unless printing photo quality is max priority. I also like the Canon models that use separate ink tanks--Models 450 up.
