Good print shop software that does banners?

I'm looking for good print software that lets you design/print banners of different sizes. Any suggestions?

If you mean banners as in print banners I would look into Illustrator, Fireworks or Publisher.

If you mean banners as in web banners I would look into Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro or the Gimp.

Sorry..I meant print banners.

Hmm..I own Illustrator & Fireworks both. This isn't a banner that's going to go to a print shop to be done.. just something perhaps printed on a basic printer, using legal size paper or something like that (something bigger than 8.5x11). So the software would have to be smart enough to split up the design into several pieces. I'm not sure Illustrator can do that... or can it?
