Good Power Supply?

I have heard that modular supplies have issues with voltage drops./ Besides that, UItra is a pretty bad PSU company from what I have heard. It seems like quite a few of their products either have crappy amperages or just blow up. I would stick to a good brand, like antec, Fortron, OCZ, etc.

Ultra X-Connect is generally regarded as poo...

Here is a good thread for PSU info... HardForums

With the power demands current and future systems are requiring, a top tier PSU is becomming an absolute necessity. Do your research and buy a good one thats going to last for awhile, both from a quality standpoint and for future power requirements.

Yep! I already completely avoid TigerDirect. 😉 And I never even bought anything from them! I avoid them because they use UPS.

The XClio 450 is an excellent PSU when it's in stock. Supposed to be back at Newegg on Fri. but I've heard the XClio PSU line was being revamped. So the new 450 may not be as good.
