good portable printer?

Canon has two: the iP100 or iP90V and HP has several toward the end of the list on this page: starting with the H470 mobile printer - all the printers above that are single-function photo printers. You aren't likely to find a mobile printer that isn't also capable of color and photo printing. I've not used any of them, so you'll have to check out any available reviews (taken with the usual skepticism)- see the magazine sites like PCWorld.com or PCMag.com as well as the techie sites for reviews -to be sure they'll support what you need. Personally, I'd see if a standard model could be found that was reasonably small and light as you'll save substantially in upfront cost and TCO - just have to figure out a reasonable way to carry it with you (maybe a modded small duffle, etc.). I'm a Canon fan for their photo quality and near laser text quality (their desktops like the iP4300 are my only reference).

I'm sure others will tell of their experiences with some of the above eventually...

Thanks. Nothing against printing photos, but the main purpose is printing out text reports in odd places. Great idea about using a small standard model. Shopping time 🙂
