good places to research before wiring the house for ethernet?

Hi people,

I saw a Discovery channel special on wiring the house with ethernet jacks and lines. However, it was a 30 min special and thus very brief. Are there any good online resources that'll be able to teach me how to wire the house? I understand networking, but I need to know how to crimp or make T1 cable lines, among other electical issues. Thank in advance for the help

That has a decent walkthrough guide. I would also look for additional resources though on Google if you need more. It took me and a friend a whole day to wire my existing house (about 16 jacks upstairs in 5 different rooms), but it was worth it. 🙂
