Good place to try to sell art online?

I friend of mine became severely physically disabled from a work related accident. She wasn't making much as it was, so she only gets marginal Disability/Unemployment. No one flame here either, she really is one of the few people that actually deserve the little government aid that she gets. She is a very good artist however, and has a lot of work she did before her accident, and some from afterwards. Anyway, I want to try to help her out and see if I could sell some of it online (or elsewhere if there's a better venue) for her.

She also has a lot of original Superman and Batman comics that used to be her son's before he died. Would eBay be the best place to sell these, or are there other websites dedicated to these types of items?
