Hey guys, I am wondering what I should do with my used clothes. All of them are very nice and some of things I have barely worn or ordered online and found out it was too small.

Take for instance, I ordered two mens adidas track suits on ebay for close to $100 each and both were two small, then a couple months ago I ordered 12 pairs of Calvin Klein boxers for like $100 and those were also to small. Spare me your fat jokes please however I need to recoup some of my loss for this stuff and it seems there is nowhere decent to sell it.

I brought like 200 items into this place called Platos Closet however out of the 200 items they only wanted 2 things so I said forget it. Hard for me to believe that only 2 of the things I wore were stylish enough to sell again. I mean all the clothes are brand name I.E. All Jeans and Dress Shirts were at least $50+. I suppose I could try ebay but I dont have the time to sort through everything and create numerous auctions. Maybe I will just take pics of everything and put it on the FS: section on here. lol

Realistically, it would be very difficult to get even 5% of what you paid. Your best bet is to donate it to charity

What size are you? I hear Kenny Bania is looking for a new suit. He might also be interested in track suits. Don't know about the (used?) boxers.

I didn't know Sears even sold Calvin Klein Boxers, Whenever I would go to the mall stores like the Boston Store sold them for $20 per pair.

Donating seems like a good idea but some of things I would like to recoup a little of the loss as they are brand new.

Even if you had a yard sale in skank town you would be hard press to get somebody to buy your boxers for any price. Probably a 1/4 of the jeans I own I've picked up at yard sales for less then a $1 and they aren't cheap brands. Cloths are worthless for the most part.

Unless those boxers are still in sealed plastic, you won't find anyone interested in them. I don't think even charities will take them.

Just donate it to charity. They will give you a tax receipt that you can use as a deduction on your next taxes. And best of all, the IRS gives you the power and say as to what the fair value of these clothings/donations are. Last year, I donated a whole lot of clothing. All name brand stuff; things from abercrombie, gap, urban outfitters, american eagle, etc. It just didnt fit anymore. I took a huge deduction last year.

There are places in PA and I'm sure other states have them that buy and sell used clothes, like those used cd and game stores. One is called Wears Like New, I think. You could try consignment sales too.

You only get a small percentage of what they sell your stuff for though, so you might as well just donate it.

My sister wanted to sell some clothes the other day and we looked on ebay for similar items and they were only selling for like $2-3. She didn't think it was worth it.

The only way I can see you selling used clothes for much money is if its something thats really rare or really popular and you have it priced really low.
