We all know about avsforums for video & head-fi for headphones, but I don't know where to start looking for information & discussion on audiophile grade speakers. Anyone point me in the right direction?

Sony make the best speakers, go for them...

How about not online, but within magazines? For any hobby I've had they've always helped out no end. Maybe there'll be links to forums within them?

You going to send me that pic of yourself?

Thanks, avsforum is great but their audio section has a bias toward 5.1/7.1 audio used for watching films, I'm more interested in something with a focus on audiophile grade studio monitors in 2/2.1 sound. No way on Sony :p Magazine subs cost $, and not a chance on the pic.

Bluejeanscable makes nice stuff, but it's kind of expensive still.

For more affordable stuff, check out Partsexpress of Cablesforless.

wfn's post has most of the big forums out there that have enough members to provide a decent conversation. AVS does still have it's share of 2-channel fans, but HT is definitely the big thing these days.

Best of luck, you're headed down a very fun road :D
