And those people laugh even harder at the people using the bent bar cues. You might as well not play at all with some of the cues I've seen. I've been to maybe 2 pool halls where the cue's were even usable.
Plus, you will always be better and more consistent using the same cue. If you only play once a year, then sure you dont need your own cue. But if you try to play often and improve your game, you have to buy your own.

Sneaky Pete Mali's & Meucci are nice and around 150.
You can usually get them with uniloc too. So it will be cleaner and easier than a thread screw design.
