Good place to get Dental Insurance

I need Dental Insurance. My work provides for Health but not dental. Just for me.

I was thinking there may be some good places online. I will check google, but if anybody has any recommendations, please let me know.

I have MetLife but I'm not sure how much they cost outside of the company.

Avoid Delta Dental, they suck IMO :|

Pretty much all you can get outside of a company plan are
(a) almost worthless "discount plans" that are supposed to give you a discount on your bill
(b) clinic programs through real insurance companies where they make you go to specific low-bid dentist / dental clinics.

Since even (b) costs something like $600+/year, you're probably better off paying for regular checkups / cleanings yourself and settingd aside money at www.INGDirect.com for when you need something more.

I have had the same question for a while.....and found no answer.
Its weird but you can go out and get an individual health insurance but individual dental insurance is hard to come by.

As someone said, those so called "dental plan" are totally useless....no one will accept those.

Think about it...lets say you're ready to have a bunch of major work on your teeth, if individual dental insurance was available, you can just get it and save tons of money.
At least with health, before you get the insurance, you must get an examination before getting the insurance.

If anyone here is able to get real individual dental insurance, please share cause I need it too.
