Good place to get Bison hamburgers or meat?

I made my own a few times and they were awesome, but a lot of work. Anybody have a good site to get really good bison burgers? Or even just ground bison meat or other cuts.

Yep. There was a place listed there but I didn't catch the name. As far as local groceries and specialty stores all they have is sirloin steaks.

Fresh Market or Whole Foods Market maybe?

That's about the only place I can find it locally but it's small frozen sirloins. There was a place listed on the food network special if I can only find out what it was.

Was it this?

Googled "food network bison burger"

Try and find it on the food network website. They post details of the show and information on what they reviewed and stuff.

The Wegmans near here carries ground bison meat for burgers; I haven't noticed any bison steaks or anything but they might have that too.

I think the one by here has them as preformed patties too, not just random ground beef.

Thanks man, I'm pretty sure that was it. Now to order in bulk.

That'd be a good idea, especially with their flat rate shipping charge of $20.95!!!

Not sure how good they are, since I've never ordered from them, but had this in my favorites. Might be worth the time to compare the two? 🙂

If you get a good answer, let me know. I can get ground bison for about $4/lb at the supermarket in vac packs, but any other actual cut is rare to find.

The Super Walmart where I lived in TX carried a pretty big lineup of bison and beefalo, including ground meat. It was a pretty "upscale" store, for Walmart anyways. I've yet to see any up here in upstate NY.
