Good place to buy some Cat-5 cables?

anyone knows good site for cat-5 cables?

I need about 32 of 2ft or 3ft cables..

good meaning cheap and reliable.

suggestions?

Get a large spool and make your own. Save you a ton of money

3) make cables yoursel
4) profit!

Commercial cables > handmade cables

For that price you can't make them and there's a lot less time wasted just ordering them.

I am not using my money to buy
and I do not have time to sit down and make it my own.
plus, I dont' even know how.

Cat5 100Mhz, rated for 100Mbs ethernet, Cat5e 350MHz, rated for 1Gb Ethernet. Cat6 600MHz (?) better than Cat5e for GBE.

cat 5e will run 10/100/1000 which is probably more than enough for your needs.

if you dont have the time to crimp em yourself : that's one thing. But you should at least learn how to crimp the cables (for your own reference). It isn't difficult to do and it's very straightforward (well.. so to speak.)

ye, I heard that it isn't that easy once you learn what to do.

but when I look at myself, I will never ever buy a box full of Cat5 cable and cut them and crimp them..

i happen to help my company by getting them a new switch and replace the old one.
and i found my self needing more cables...

I am not going to spend my time on this kind of 'once in a year event'.

i will prolly learn how to do it anywayz, but not now. too busy
