I need to buy some ties... The ones I have now are getting old, I just need to buy maybe 4 to spruce up the old tie rack. Where can I get some really nice ties at really nice prices? Im a college student, so the cheaper the better (and I know, you get what you pay for, but I'm looking to spend less than $20 per tie). Thanks.

Sorry $20 bucks won't get your the BEST ties but If I were you, I'll stop at Marshalls and pickup some Kenneth Cole Ties. 🙂 They are great.

is there a JC Penny Outlet in your area?

theres one here and there are almost ALWAYS Pierre Cardin ties on sale

also, what style of ties do you where? solid? pattern? bright? pastel?

i have a bunch of ties that i got as gifts that i don't wear (brands like CK, kenneth cole and Jerry Garcia signatures)

TJ Maxx has some suprisingly nice ties. Every brand imaginable, Polo, Nautica, CK, DKNY etc. If you're ever in NYC or for people here, Century 21 has the best selection hands down. Lots of European stuff for like 10 bucks.

none of the bargain stores (except for century 21) have "good" ties
you can usually find decent ones but if you want the newest styles you'll have to go to a department store. you probably should wait for a sale too, since dkny ties can be bought for ~20 during sales.

ebay...you could shoot for the higher-end brands for the same price...only downside is that you don't get to actually see/feel the ties
