I'm in the market for a new 8 cell battery for my Asus K52Jr-X5 laptop. Anyone know what is a trustworthy website for finding and ordering one? Also, any good brands to suggest?
I'm having a hard time determining which ebay sellers are selling OEM batteries.
There's even one selling "Genuine OEM MSI", and is a US seller, and then you find out that they are really a china seller, with a US warehouse that they ship out of for US customers, and that the battery is "Genuine OEM MSI compatible".
Is there anyone out there selling REAL original-OEM batteries for an A5000-040US?
Look at this one. Says "Genuine", "USA stock". But when you read the description, it says "100% compatible battery cells". They even put "Original" next to one of the description lines.
So I'm having a hard time determining if this is really a genuine original or not.
This one says "Genuine Original" too, but I doubt it is. It is a higher-watthour model, supposedly made for Compal laptops. Compal is a major laptop OEM mfg, possibly they mfg MSI's laptops? Would it be worth getting a higher-WH battery like this one, instead of a 4400Whr version? Would it interfere with the proper charging?
thats fair price. spec out what amp hours you get from quality cells bought from battery resellers and youll see that its expensive to have good lithium batteries.
you can buy a chinese battery for $50, but expect to have 70% runtime and 70% overall lifespan at best... and yes you are spending less then half the cost upfront, but every time you have to recharge earlier is more inconvenience that all adds up.
