Good place to buy cheap ammo?

Hoping to find an online store that sells cheap reliable 30.06 rifle ammo. Quality is more important to me then grain quantity. Under $.30 a round would be great.

Edit: This ammo would be for target shooting but probably at the level most people would call plinking.

For what? The CMP has standard ball at $65 shipped CONUS for 240 rounds, works out to 0.27 each. Delinked ammo, so certainly not match quality, but fine for plinking.

Agreed. They still have Lake City ammo which isn't that bad.

CMP is good for milsurp stuff, I think its all FMJ though, so not too useful for hunting.
The following also come to mind when shopping for ammo: Ammoman, AimSurplus, GeorgiaArms, SportsmansGuide, Widener's, Midway, Cheaper Than Dirt, Outdoor Marksman.

Interesting! I use them a lot but the most I've ever seen were some pellet rifles. CMP looks great but requires a gun club membership.

Shouldn't need that for ammo.

this was 10 years or so ago that i used them. could buy like 10000 rounds of 22 cal, 30-06, or 30-30, and pretty much any other widely available calibers.
