Good place to buy barebones laptops?

And do barebones actually have a price advantage over prebuilt? What are some decent gaming laptops in the $500-$1500 range? Preferrably better than x300 graphics.

can be found on ebay for under $800. just add CPU, RAM, and HDD.

I just put one together with a Turion MT-37, 2GB Corsair, 80GB HDD.

Not bad, though right now with rebates there's a basically equivalent (almost exactly the same actually) Compaq Pentium M computer going for about the same.

BTW, what happened to all the other mobile graphics chips? I can't seem to find anything other than integrated graphics, X300, the rare X700 or 6600/6200, 6800, and then a couple 6800 Ultras and 7800GT/GTXs are overpriced Dells. Where is the inbetween stuff like the 6800GT, X800 and so on?
