Loading games from the HDD is so nice, the loading times in DQ8 aren't that bad from the disc, but they're pretty much non-existent from the HDD.
Some games don't seem to benefit from it though.

There's only one button... and if you can't learn to press the button without moving the console, you must be retarded.
In any case, it's possible to add a USB hard drive to a Slim Ps2, so you can still play FFXI.
