Get the Enermax 350Watt power supply. It has the normal 80mm exhaust fan on the back, as well as a 92mm on the bottom of it. The 92mm draws air up, off the CPU, and then the 80mm pushes it out the back. So the PSU also cools your CPU! Compucheap(Russ's site) has it for $56!

You know it's really sick how much PS's cost. Why can I buy a nice case, for $50-60 (with powersupply) but the same PS that is in the case cost's me $45-50???? WHY? Does a case really only cost like $15-20?
And I'm not talking about crap cases either the specific case I'm thinking about is an enlight mid with 250W PS.

I think 300w power supply is way over rated. As long as the power supply is AMD approve is enough. I am running my system with a Fong Kai 250w with no problem. Maybe the 300w gives people extra assurance I guess. Thats My Opinion.

You're probably right but with all the things I have in my computer I'd bet that a 250W would struggle, every slot is filled with a card and slot fan. I have a monitor fan, 6 case fans, heatsink fan, 3 drives, 2 hd, etc, etc, 300 watts is a must then.

You do not always need 300W+ PS. It more depends on how much stuff you have in your system than just having Athlon.

If you have more than a couple of 5 1/2 in drives, more than a couple of hard drives, multiple fans, many PCI cards, and fast CPU, especially Athlon, you will definitely want to get a 300W or higher PS. On the other hand, if you do not have that much stuff, 250W PS should be fine.

For example, my second system got a FlexATX case with 150W PS. It got a Intel 810 board, Celeron II 633Mhz, 128MB, V3 2000 PCI, a CD-ROM, two hard drives, a modem, and a case fan, and it is running more than fine. In fact, I have never seen any smoke coming out from it.

I would buy Antec 300W from places like Onvia or Buy.com if you decide to get one for cheap although I have to say that Enermax looks pretty nice.
