Good place to buy a used PC?

The budget is $200 max. Needs to be Dell or Gateway, no custom builts.

I don't think you're going to find what you're looking for from any vendor. there's no profit to be made selling something that old. Your only bet would be ebay. Though by now the warranties will be expired and the fact that it's Dell or Compaq won't be worth anything...

Where are you at? Some major companies surplus their old computers. In Seattle, the Boeing Company often has some old Dells at their surplus sales in your price range. Post your location and maybe someone can recommend somewhere in your area. Personally, I think you'd be better off with a newer custom built for the same price! Dells are probably more "custom" than custom built computers.

What kind of specs are you looking for? I'm looking at a 1.2GHz Duron PC from Walmart for $199 to learn linux.
