Good place to buy a go board/stones?

I'd much rather not buy one online. I'm just looking for a cheap (not *too* cheap!) go board and some stones. (if they sell containers, that'd be a plus)

thanks.

I just started to read up about it and I want to learn. Unfortunately the computer is not the best thing to practice against. And since I'm not a big fan of sitting in front of a pc all day, I'd rather just buy a real go set, a few books book and practice by myself.

It also lets me play other people I know who might actually know how to play...🙂

I don't understand your reluctance to buy online. You can get a decent quality beginner's board with stones for around $50.00. Expect to pay much more than that in any local store...

Yeah, I wanted to learn a while back and I didn't want to buy a computer game, all the demos sucked, and playing online is a horrible way to learn. It sucks the game isn't big in the states, because I wouldn't mind picking it up.

I just played against the computer for a while. Then I got a board for like christmas or something last year and I got some of my friends to play. Then they all gave up on it because they didnt understand it or whatever.

My friends are dumb 🙁
