Good place for reviews on A/V receivers?

I'm looking at one of 4 possible contenders in a Best Hell PSP exchange, and can't find jack at my usual source, epinions.com. Anyone know of any places that have a knack for reviewing damn near every reciever on the planet?

Thanks!

No luck there. None of the models carried at BB area listed there.

I am SERIOUSLY beginning to wonder if perhaps they are carrying them as different models, I am not finding jack on these at Amazon, Epinions, or Buy.com.

It wouldn't be the first time the same damn product has carried two different model numbers in different retail environments, or at least, between Best Buy and the rest of the known universe.

Still coming up blank.

I mean, I'm hoping for the Lazy Internet phenomenon to occur here, but I'm still looking.

This is pissing me off.

These are the Receivers I'm looking at - If you can find me a place (or places) with some reviews, I'll give you a digital cookie. I'll copy it straight from my browser cache! :D

But seriously, help, because this is pissing me off. And I'd be greatly indebted.

Kenwood VR-707
Yamaha HTR-5640
Panasonic SA-XR25S
Pioneer VSX-D812

I'll second h8red's recommendations. You can find everything you need at those sites.

Thanks for the sites, guys!

I ruled out the Kenwood since it doesn't offer S-Video inputs/outputs, and ruled out the Yamaha for some reason. I can't remember why, I did this last night.

So it's down to the Pioneer or the Panasonic.

I'm attracted to the sleekness of the Panasonic, and hoping that its quality has some elements of Technics in it (Aside from the fact the reciever that busted IS a Technics. What the hell kind of luck do I have?). The Pioneer looks nice too, and the positive reviews on the 811 are encouraging.

Thanks again!

I just scored a factory refurb. AVR-310 from the Harman Audio Ebay store for $241.50 shipped. I get pretty good service from them, but most importantly, I get a 2 year warranty on all HK products!

HK makes some of the most aesthetically pleasing stereo/HT equipment out there, and they supposedly rate their receiver amps more realistically, so a 55 WPC rating == a 100 WPC rating of any receiver you could get at Best Buy.

I really like the H/K line! Check it out!

Check out the Pioneer 912. I just picked up one and it has everything under the sun. Go to CNet and read about it.

Agreed. And the sound quality from an HK receiver must be heard. It's a much more accurate sound than the Sony ES I auditioned at the same time.
