lets just say.

GOD DAMN THATS EXSPENSIVE

i personally have no experience with polk, however i bet there are better buys for the money.

i have 4 Elemental Designs 12k's

and they are very good subs, small boxes, tight, accurate, and a good deal cheaper.

also, better amps can probably be had.
sound domain is having a sale on directed amps, i have no experience, but they are said to be high quality amps.

if you want a lil more power, eD has the O, and A series, the O is able to play as low as the A, but doesnt not like ported encllosures, and has lower power handling
. the k's have a decent power handling, but not as low playing as the A, or O. and the Kx, are the low end subs but very good from what i hear. also, check out
http://www.avionixxusa.com for some good amps, i have the 400.2 and it is very good.

some amazing amps, but quite costly would be the likes of http://www.trutechnology.com or http://www.audiotec-fischer.com/ but lets just say, they cost more than that sub and amp together iirc.

other good companies for subs would be http://www.respl.com resonant engineering makes good subs. i think http://www.adireaudio.com makes subs, and they are very good also.

as for amps, some good companies would be U.S. acoustics (bargain value good) Avionixx excellent price/performance Tsunami price/performance DEI amps (directed) performance/price. and a few other good ones.

I work at CC, so i can pickup the setup i mentioned for $320 + shipping... is it worth it then?
