My GF is an excellent piano player but due to her love for me she is moving away from home (and her grand piano) 2000 miles to where I live. She will be moving into a small apt and cannot bring her piano. I want to buy her a really nice piano-like keyboard for her when she gets here in summer.

I know nothing of this market. Any recommendations?

Thanks,

As stated before... Yamaha is a very good starting point, you get what you pay for, and don't surprise her, let her choose it. That is all.

Thanks, as much as I'd like to suprise her I think that I'll just find a local shop and let her choose.

OMG dude...you look like a freakin' cartoon dog! :D

Anyway, would she be willing to play on an upright piano?
In my experience (I recently was in the "market" for a piano), I found that people are almost willing to pay you to take pianos off of their hands. I actually had to turn down 3 offers to give me them for free!
