Well, I know there are a million sites out there, but is there a book that might be a good tutorial for someone who wants to learn PHP?

Thanks,

i dont think it gets any better than the php chm manual myself...plenty of code examples and a lot of neat tips/tricks to use.

I like books myself, but for PHP, php.net is really all you need.

I personally like Sams Teach Yourself PHP in 24 hours. I use that and Sams Teach Yourself PHP, MySQL and Apache to build my sites. I"m still a PHP NOOB in the broad scheme of things, but these books are laid out nicely and information is easy to find. I read a couple chapters, started typing, and now just reference the book when I need a line of code, or tutorial for something. Both books can be had for 24-30 USD.
