Good PHP based website software?

Wanna throw together a website for people to get together on, needs to have a forum to post on, so they can upload photos to share, videos perhaps, things like that. I've used PHPNuke before, it's alright but I'd like to see some other options.

Any ideas, or examples to look at?

You sir, are my hero. I already have Zoom gallery installed, Joomlaboard up and running, and most of the templates customized to my liking. Very nice software 🙂
