GOOD PHONE DEALS IF LOOKING TO PURCHASE PLAN WITH T-MOBILE, AT&T, CINGULAR, or SPRINT

Hey, I'm new around here, so just thought I'd give a sacrifice. If you go to amazon.com and click on "Today's Deals" near the top, then select Cell Phones, or something of that sort, you can get phones for -150 or -100 or -50 or phones that are normally 200 dollars plus for FREE. So you can either buy a phone that is really expensive for cheap, or buy a decent phone and get 50 bucks out of it.
Hope everyone enjoys and I saved someone a little money.

Yea, this is actually a very hot deal for those who don't know about Amazon's phone deals. They have great free after rebates and even some better than free- If I were looking for a phone + plan I would probably check amazon first.

AT&T had a nice deal about two weeks ago...new service (1 or 2 year) and you get a free Nokia 6800...I needed a new provider so I jumped on it...they shipped it next day for free also...can't beat that...

My last cell phone purchase through amazon went very well. When I filled out the rebate phone, I think I accidently checked the samsung s105 for AT&T coverage which only had a $150 rebate. In reality I bought the samsung s105 for T-mobile which had the $200 rebate. All I did was email amazon and the guy said he'd check up on it. About 3 weeks later I received the other $50.

I just got T-mobile here in Savannah, Ga, and I am VERY pleased thus far. Service is BETTER than anyone else here, coverage is GREAT.
I am getting about 3000 minutes for $49.95, and all kinds of pluses.
Also, T-mobile has the best phones that have the coolest toys!

Well, sure Amazon has great deals on mobile phones. I've bought my last two from Amazon.

The T-Mobile Samsung S105 was $50 after rebate when color screens were still not all that common in the States.

I bought a Sprint Sanyo 8200 cameraphone about a month ago that'll be about $125 after rebate.

Watch out for those Sprint rebates! I didn't plan to spend so much on the phone, but I didn't read the Sprint rebate carefully before I bought. Amazon and Sprint advertise the final price based on a two-year contract.

As an update on the cell phone rebate, Sprint will not give you the rebate if you port an existing number to their service.

I read the terms of the rebate several times, but I did not fully appreciate that new service activation means new number and not just new service.

So, Sprint is charging extra every month for porting the number, and I get no rebate. I'll drop them at the end of the year and know better next time. Fair warning to others on the definition of new service actvation.

Last year I had the T-Mo store match Amazon to get a free T68i and 720 (family plan). It was pretty sweet because Amazon did not offer the family plan at the time and the T-Mo store gave me the difference in rebates upfront!

I told my friend I had done it and he tried but they would not match for him, so YMMV.
