A couple years ago I was given a Panasonic MP3 player for Christmas that relied on Real (as in Real Player) software. If I ever want to drop Windows all together (which I'd love to do once gaming works just a touch better), I'd like to be able to use my personal mp3 player. I haven't tried using Wine w/ Real's software for the mp3 player yet... that might work just fine. But I'd like to replace it with something more along the lines of a Muvo or an IPod - not sure if I want to use CF or a microdrive yet. But that's besides the point. I'm just wondering if any of you linux users out there have any recommendations... I'll listen to it primarily while working out, running, golfing, and sleeping.

What is the real question? lol Looking for something to transfer your mp3's to your mp3 player with? Your player should come up as a removable drive in Linux (as it does under windows) and you can just copy the mp3's to it. Poof all done. If the device does not come up as removable device than I need to know specifically which device. The iPod and the Muvo will be removable devices so that is not a problem. I also know that my RCA mp3 player does as well.

Allow me to clarify - my current mp3 player isn't truely an mp3 player in the sense that it requires Real to convert the files to another format as they're being transfered to the SDcard - it's not a simple copy/paste to the removable drive procedure. I want to avoid that.

So, my question was more geared to making sure that the next player I get either allows me to copy mp3s straight to it, or at least has software available to allow me to use it under linux.
