Hey all,

I'm interested in purchasing a GF2 card (probably the elsa Gladiac GF2 Ultra) and was also interested in a dual monitor set up for tv or DVDs or just to take up room on my desk. Anyway, I realize that I would need to get a 2nd PCI card for my computer, so I'm wondering if people could provide me with a good suggestion on a PCI card that would compliment the Elsa GF2 Ultra card. Since I would already have a solid 3D card, I guess I'm more interested in a very good 2D card for DVDs and TV (w/ DVI) and such that shouldn't have any sort of conflicts with the primary video card. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks.

For a really good 2d, get some sort of ATI or Matrox PCI card. a Rage based card for the PCI would be good. If you have more cash, pick up a Radeon version, only about $100 dollars. As for Matrox, get a G200 or G400 if you can find any of them in PCI. I haven't had any luck finding them. Maybe scour the for sale/trade forum?

ATI Xpert 128 16MB PCI Video Card for $44 + shipping at www.computers4sure.com. Retail with 5 year warranty. They just dropped the price recently, used to be $60. We use them as a second video card at work.
