I have a plan to turn a PIII 1000 ghz computer into a multimedia computer for my entertainment system. I do not have an agp slot in it because it is a compact compaq system. it is currently running windows 2000.

What would be a good pci vid card with tv out that i could use for it?

Thanks for any help.

For something like that I'd just get the lowest cost option from newegg. Your not going to have a powerful computer but you could certainly run the linux version of Sagetv or Mythtv on it if you wanted to replace the Win2k setup.

here's a link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...42&bop=And&Order=PRICE

On a really old and cheap tv with no svideo you'll have rca out. your probably looking for svideo out on the video card. Just make sure your tv has svideo in. If you have a newer TV then you'll need component, dvi or hdmi connections. Whatever your tv has is what you'll need to use. Just make sure the tv and the video card have the same connection type and your good. Note, I did list them in order of video quality with rca being the worst and hdmi the newest.
