Good PC3200 memory for the non-overclocker?

I was in the market for purchasing some 512MB PC3200 for my P4 2.4Ghz (800mhz fsb) HT and Abit AS7 mobo. I don't overclock, however I want good quality memory thats fast and will run stable. Originally I was looking at the Gail PC3200 512MB Value DIMM newegg had on their site, but I've read mixed reviews about them. Some people are satisfied and some find the module to be unsatisfactory. I was looking to spend around $80 for some good quality memory, any suggestions? I also had the Crucial PC3200 dimm on mind, although thats a bit more expensive for a CAS3 module. The Anand review recommended it for value compared to the other modules, but I think prices were higher then than they are now, so that point might not be as valid today. Keep in mind that I don't overclock but would still preffer a quality DIMM around that price range. I'm not sure if I should stress between CAS2, 2.5, and 3. Suggestions are highly appreciated! Thanks for your time!

That's the same stuff I've got - 2 sticks running in Dual Channel mode on an Epox 8RDA+ motherboard. It seems to work just fine.

Hi,

Don't consider to buy the GEIL PC3200 Ultra Dual Channel Kit (256M x 2), which I have been using for about 10 days on my Asus P4P800 motherboard.

Quite disappointed to find that I could not boot up my PC with the latency specification of 2-3-3-6 but 2.5-3-3-6 only and at a voltage of 2.85 volts only (it did not work with a lower voltage). If you set the RAM latency by SPD and then test it with CPU-Z, you would find that the RAMs are running at 2.5-4-4-8 (not 2-3-3-6). At the moment, I have to set it manually to run at 2.5-3-3-6.

I'm using Corsair value select (it happened to be some of the cheapest available from Newegg). No problems yet. I even ran a 10% overclock for over 48 hours straight, once again, with no problems. I haven't messed with the latency settings yet, so I don't know how that will go yet.
