I recently purchased this rig and have been having problem after problem. The onboard ethernet on the t-force i have is dog ******. I've tried everything to make it run correctly but it runs slow as hell. Currently im using my 5 year old ethernet card out of my other computer.
I'm gonna rma it and it was recomended to me by a friend, so i know nothing about micro atx boards. Can you advise me on what to do? Should i buy a new board(if so what) or should i just rma and get a new tforce board and hope they fixed the problem?

The T-force is a good board but there's a new overclocking King in M-ATX motherboards. Heck this one rivials full size boards. I've got one & runnung 300HTT clock using BH-5 & its wierd divdiers. Also in Q Pack & am very happy with it

Hey i noticed on a review on newegg.com that it had issues with opteron 165 voltages? I have an opteron 165 lol so...do you know anything about this?

the voltages on the biostar are off by like 0.05v so you have to set the bios to 1.45v to have 1.40v. plus it goes up and down. if you want to switch boards then the epox 6100 is a good one for overclocking same with the dfi rs482. i have the epox with the beta bios to go over 225fsb for sale, if your interested just pm me.

thanks for the offer but i alrdy decided on the dfi board. I dont wanna get another biostar with broken ethernet. In regards to the voltages, i was asking about the dfi board. Is that what you meant to respond to or did you miss read it? Also, do you know of any problems with the dfi board?

the voltage problems i were refering to were to the biostar. as for the dfi rs482, the only issue i've heard with it is that the shipping bios on it, isn't that great and you have to flash it to the latest bios. other then that, its a great little board.

But the DFI has a lame southbridge!
Good overclocking boards for AMD s939 are the DFI (R482), the Epox (NV6100/410) and the Biostar (NV6100/410).

i think its the SB400? not sure on that. the SB on the dfi is the not so good one. where it has lack luster usb performance and of course no SATA 3.0.

it depends on if you want it or not. some say there is a difference, others dont see it. if you can live without it then thats fine too. i just dont like the usb performance. my mouse is usb and i use my usb ports often for my camera and thumb drive but thats me.

The m-ATX Gigabyte 939 board looks pretty decent, can be had on Newegg for ~$72 shipped.
