Buy.com is offering free shipping with every order of $50 or more. The catch is that it's for products over $50 and less than 20 pounds in weight. Plus there's a lot of restrictions as far as what is and what is not excluded. Sounds like a this is more of a deal for them.

Well this is better than when they're not shipping for free. The restriction of 20 lbs or less really isn't that bad since it only restricts you to items that weigh less than 20 lbs. If you have a bunch of items that add up to more than 20 lbs, just do seperate orders in groups of less than 20 lbs each. Buy.com is just trying not to eat it too hard on this free shipping(like they would on monitors, cases, big tvs etc. if there wasn't this restriction) which is understandable. It doesn't really stop you from free shipping any of their computer parts which is a good deal since they've usually got ok prices. Too bad they were smart enough to make all of their non-new customer coupons(atleast the good ones) expire right before the free shipping started. Coincidence? I think not. Oh yeah, and this is a repost.

Where have you been? There were already several threads started regarding Buy.com's free shipping and how can you question whether or not free shipping is bad or good? It's free shipping, what else is there to it?

I personally think that they should have a $1000 shipping charge day. Maybe huh, will think that is a good deal.

If enough fools see it the way huh does, maybe this will help keep buy.com in business. Have you seen their stock as of late?
