I am looking to find a website that will let me setup training for new hires and existing employees. I know there are A LOT of options. Anyone have any experience with any? Or any suggestions. I work at a Data Center and much of the training will revolved around electrical, mechanical, and procedures. Not some much data or IT since I work in maintenance. Thanks

I dont want the content to be provided by the site, I want to setup modules and training internally, and have quizzes and of course tracking

Try a hosted training system like Litmos:

I use a really old program for training & I'm currently looking into online training systems as well. Vimeo is good for hosting training videos. I use Camtasia for doing screen recordings:

Snagit also does basic screen recordings, as well as really excellent screenshots with easy markup tools (arrows, textboxes, etc.). Combine that with Adobe Acrobat for creating instructional PDF files: (or go the cheap route if you don't need a clickable TOC & just use CutePDF to export a Word doc to PDF)

For recording videos IRL, I either use an iPod Touch for quickie ones, or a digital camcorder with a clip-on lav mic so it picks up voices clearly. Sony Vegas or Final Cut Pro X are both pretty good systems for PC or Mac on a budget.

I am looking into litmos, my only concern is that I am sure my management would not want information the building I work at, stored remotely. They would want all content stored locally on our server. I am not sure if litmos offers that...
