Good online "replacement" for Counter Strike.

Searched, found nothing relevant, so here goes.
I've noticed that it is getting harder and harder to find fast, populated servers. Is there another game out there that is similar to CS in the basic respects - easy-to-find servers with decent pings, 2, maybe 3 teams, different goals, cool maps? The voice communication thing would be nice to have too; that can be really handy.
Don't know if it's just my area or the time I play, but so often, after going through the list of maybe 20,000 servers out there, maybe 20 have pings under 100ms (cable modem here), and usually half have people playing; 2 to 3 of those will actually have more than 10 players. Not a lot to choose from.🙁
 
After 1.3 i tried searching there is nothing out there man 🙁 we are outta luck. I am hoping something awesome comes out for the UT2003 Engine give me a reason to upgrade and something to occupy my time.

I hope The Opera really takes off on UT2k3.
 
If you're having problems finding good local servers, try using All Seeing Eye for finding servers. Sometimes the ingame browser for CS doesn't reflect the actual amount of servers out there and ASE will find the good ones.

As far as a game replacement for CS, the cloest gametype that I've come across is Soldier of Fortune 2 -- its quite close to CS. Its not an exact replacement (nothing is), but its gametypes, weapons and damage are similar.
